"When your values are clear
your financial decisions
become easy"

I was told women were not investors and couldn’t make decisions…that they only invested in CD’s, weren’t interested and certainly would not attend a class on the topic of women and money.
I was brand new to the business. We had a lot of older clients. And, unfortunately over a period of thirty days, I sat in three meetings with widows. In two cases, the husbands had passed suddenly. In the other case, the husband had been very sick with cancer. In all three cases, the women were distraught with grief and pain as they were sitting in our office, learning how to read our brokerage statements and feeling terrified about their lack of knowledge about their finances and whether they would be “okay.” One even had to learn how to write checks.
The one thing I know about a lot of you guys is that you really love the women in your lives. You love your grandma, mom, sister, wife, girlfriend…and you’re an advocate for them. You want to be their hero and their savior. You care deeply about them. You’re one of the good guys.
Ladies, on average you refer 3 to 1 vs men. You know why that is? Hmmmm…it’s because you have this thing called “friends.” Guys, when you get over 40, you’re lucky if you can count your good buddies on one hand.
